I’m having PTSD flashbacks to the Soldier: 76 thread.Honestly I don’t think it needs a new thread every time this happens. It’s gonna keep happening more and more, and the conversation never changes. For me it’s just a non-issue. Good for them. Move on, back to playing the game. The “representation in gaming” thread is more than comprehensive enough to contain all these news bits related to that discussion, imo. Just seems like this just gives the same people a new reason to either rally for or rail against the creative decisions, all over again, over and over.(Yes, I’m one of those people, I realize this)I’ll let the devs present their characters anyway they want. Just don’t insult your customers while taking these paths and everyone should be just fine.Edit:This all seems completely harmless to me.One character had a line about his boyfriend stealing his bike, this being on his bio page on the game’s official site.
Apex Legends launched with 8 unique characters that all have their own special abilities. All of the Legends are great in their own way, but we sat down and made a ranking list based on their individual strengths and team utility. Check out the video to see which Legend we thought was number one! Apex Legends Champion Gameplay.
No problemOther character was revealed after being asked a question in interview.Everything is okay. Andrew Wilson here from EA and I just wanted to let you know, that we've always been great supporters of the LGBTQBRAAAAAP community. We know statistics point out that being woke ingratiates us with the young progressive demographic and increases profits, but believe us, this isn't about profits even though it really looks like it actually is about profits since we've seen the Kaepernick effect and every single thing we do is for the sake of more profit, but not this. Played a bunch of matches tonight and thought the game was fun enough that I'd play it again - it's free after all. I think 'COD meets Overwatch' is probably accurate - I don't play COD or BF though so this doesn't necessarily bother me. The gunplay is mostly ADS you'd expect from COD, but you pick a 'legend' to start each match and they each have a passive ability, a Q ability (medium cooldown), and ultimate (z) ability unique to the character.

The mobility seems to be limited to running and using ziplines that can either go point-to-point or launch you up in the air from a zip tower so you can rocket somewhere else nearby. The guns all sound great but they are very difficult to tell apart at a glance, which is unfortunate. It's also not clear how much health and armor you have as there don't seem to be any numbers anywhere, but when you deal damage you see damage values. The environment kinda looks like what Evolve would look like if you made it with Source; it's pretty impressive for Source, but definitely showing its age.
Other than the gunfire, I did not find the sound to be very good at all, honestly; turning myself 90 ° while listening to some dialogue and having the voice totally drop from one earphone is pretty bad. Tough when we've grown used to Frostbite and UE4, etc.
